  2. Rotations We will break into three groups and spend 7 minutes at each breakout • Storefront Sales • Take Order & Online Sales • Your Unit Kickoff

Important Popcorn Dates • September 3rd – Submit Storefront Orders on http://sell.trails-end.com • September 22nd – Storefront Popcorn Pickup & Sale Begins! • October 8th – Free Return Day for all products – Chocolate is not returnable after this date. • November 1st – Sales Begin in Burlington/West Burlington • November 15th: • Last Day to turn in leftover Storefront Popcorn (Chocolate not returnable) • Submit Take Order online • Pay at least ½ of Unit Storefront Sales bill • Order all prizes on sell.trails-end.com • December 1st – Take Order Pickup & Final payment due • A 5% late fee will be added for unpaid bills after 12/1

Storefront Blitz Day • September 22nd will be Popcorn pickup for both Districts • Council coordinated Storefront locations will be setup throughout each District – Sign up tonight if you know where you want to sell! • Units are encouraged to continue Storefront sales on their own throughout October & November

  5. Product Mix Discontinued Products • White Chocolaty Pretzels • Caramel Sea Salt Product Changes • Caramel Corn with Nuts Bag

  6. New Commission Scale • 20% Base Commission • Potential 10% in Bonus Commissions • 1% bonus for each $50/Scout sold starting at $100 • 1% - $100/Scout, 2% - $150/Scout, 3% - $200/Scout…. • Maximum is 30% for $550/Scout • Units reaching $15,000 in total sales will receive at least 26% commission • Scout numbers are based on 7/1/18 Rosters • Online Sales included in totals

  7. Prizes! • Popcorn Prizes are ordered through http://sell.trails-end.com by November 15th • Prize sheets are included in each order form • $750 Bonus Prize – Baja RC Car! • $1,500 Sellers Club – Family STAYcation! • $2,500 – Trail’s End Scholarship!

  8. Online Sales & Incentives Encourage all of your Scouts to sell online to friends and family! • Setup your online account at www.trails-end.com • Send out an email to your mailing lists for family, work, friends, social media, etc.

Unit Incentives • Pie your Unit Leader in the face • Pizza party for top selling Den • Special Pack or Den field trip • Prizes purchased by the pack • Duct tape your leader to the wall • Other Best Practices? Examples of activities that are not unit level incentives: • Holding a Popcorn Kickoff • Pushing Scouts towards the $750 prize • Encouraging the scholarship program

Online Popcorn System • Access the popcorn system by going to http://sell.trails-end.com • A user name and password will emailed to you after the Popcorn Commitment Form is completed • Tutorial videos, including a walkthrough, will be available online at www.mississippivalleybsa.org/popcorn • For Popcorn system troubleshooting, contact Ryan Barnes at ryan.barnes@scouting.org

  11. Wrapping Up Selling Popcorn supports an well-planned Unit program! Selling Popcorn supports the operations of the Mississippi Valley Council, including many capital improvements at Camp Eastman and Saukenauk Scout Reservation
