  1. Roorkee Institute of Technology RIT Roorkee is a part of Himalayan Charitable Trust (HCT), which has been working in the field of education since 1998. It was established in under the aegis of Himalayan charitable trust with the clear objective of providing quality technical education at affordable prices to students from rural and backward areas, who cannot afford highly expensive education in some of the other institutions. Roorkee Institute of Technology is spread over an area of 100 hectares on the banks of river Ganga, at Jangal Village, Roorkee. It is located at a distance of 15 kms from Roorkee town and 26 kms from Haridwar city on Delhi-Haridwar-Dehradun National Highway. The Seva Foundation and the Roorkee Management Association (RMA) together run this college. The institute is under Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun and approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, New Delhi. It has been affiliated to UPTU since its inception in 2005. Institute has highly qualified faculties drawn from top engineering institutions like IITs, NITs and other premier institutes. Institute also offers academic programmes in disciplines of engineering, management and computer applications through the following Institutes under it: The institute offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree courses in five branches – Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. For detail visit: https://ritroorkee.in/departments-of-engineering/ Currently the institute is offering a Post Graduate Degree in Business Management (MBA) program conducted by Institute of Business Administration & Research Centre (IBARC), an initiative of Roorkee Management Association(RMA). In addition to this five Diploma courses in civil, mechanical, computer and electronics engineering disciplines and one certificate course in industrial instrumentation technology are also running. For this additional four diploma courses NDA is providing grant. The institute also has a well equipped MCA department and an AICTE approved Center of Excellence (COE) for CAD/CAM under the umbrella of CS/IT department. It is one of the pioneer institutes to run MBA course in Uttarakhand state.
