MSc, PgDip or PG Cert … What is the difference? • PG Certificate – 60 credits in taught modules • Usually completed within one academic year on a part time basis – October to May • PG Diploma – 120 Credits in taught modules • Usually done within one academic year through full time study – October to May • MSc – 120 credits in taught modules and a masters dissertation • Usually done within one academic year through full time study • October to May for the thought element • June to August for the dissertation element

Global Context • SCM encompasses initial design, through procurement and processing to distribution • Customer satisfaction and sustainable business performance cannot be achieved without a good Supply Chain • SCM must focus on leveraging value through collaborative operations, procurement and logistics where flexibility and speed of response are becoming critical • Today, Supply Chain Management is a critical business competency – in many companies, 80% or more of their turnover is spent outside of the organisation. • The demand for Supply Chain professionals is increasing worldwide..!

  35. Working in groups and presenting work for criticism is a special feature of the education in DMEM
