  3. School Day School day begins at 7:50 a.m. Tardy Bell rings at 8:05 a.m. Specials (conference time) is at 9:45 - 10:40 Staggered lunch begins at 12:15 Dismissal begins at 3:10 p.m.

  4. Meal Prices Breakfast $ 1.30 Lunch $ 2.00 Milk $ 0.50 Students are responsible for their lunch boxes or money, they will not be allowed to call home. Lunch menu hotline: 281-641-5838

Maplebrook Information Change of Transportation – notes please • Tardy Policy • “Left Over Kids” • 5 tardies/”left behinds” constitutes further disciplinary action • Late Work/Make Up Work • Healthly Snacks (not meal) and Water Bottles (clear liquid-no sugar) • Cell Phones • STAAR Test – promotional year

  11. Maplebrook Information • Planners – check daily/weekly • Conduct (3/one day, 4/week) = N • Homework Every Night – return daily • Detention (TBD) • Study Hall • Tutoring (TBD) • Rainy Day Dismissal Plans • Car riders – yellow sign in window

Enrichment/Tutoring Schedule • Your child will have the opportunity to receive tutoring and/or enrichment activities during the school day 12:45-1:15. • Each student will have recess approx. 2 days per week. Opportunity for tutoring and enrichment will take place the other days of the week. • This will allow your child an easier transition to middle school next year and for success on the STAAR test that is new this year.

Arrival/Dismissal Procedures • Tardy at 8:05 a.m. – instruction IS beginning at 7:50! • When dropping off at the kindergarten wing side – once cone is in place….you MUST go to front! • All parents need to be here at 3:20 p.m. • End of Day –Please do not take your child out of school early unless absolutely necessary!

  15. Donations/Activity Fund Please visit wishing trees! Activity Fund - $20.00 Fundraiser Kickoff PTO – Registration $5.00/per family (first week of school) Party Money - $10.00 (PTO) Extra $ throughout the year – field trip and “special” fifth grade T-shirts

Sign Up-Communication is Important! • Please REMEMBER to sign up for MBE emails from teachers and receive BearFacts newsletters and other important information. • You may sign up in a classroom or in the computer lab. • You must sign up for each child you have here at MBE, so their teachers can send you emails and other important grade level news. • Thank you!!!
