  2. Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation Protects and restores Iowa’s land, water and wildlife… …which can lead to improved recreation opportunities and quality of life, “for those who follow.”

  3. INHF since 1979… • 110,000 acres protected • Over 700 land projects • 93 of 99 Counties • Over 160 interns trained • 7000 members Projects continue to get larger, more complex, and more expensive

INHF’s Trail Contributions… • Assisted in the acquisition and/or implementation of over 750 miles of trail corridors • Rail-Trail focus – early acquisition role • Public policy at the state or federal level • Participate in regional trail planning efforts • Provide technical assistance to counties and cities • Trails are some of the most difficult and complicated projects
