    • Dormant (volcano): A volcano that has not erupted for at least 10,000 years, but according to scientists may erupt again.

    • Extinct (volcano): A volcano that scientist do not ever expect to erupt again.

    • Nuclear Waste: Radioactive (potentially dangerous) material that is disposed of because it is not useful.
