DDPS provides deployment planning framework

  • Designed to provide mutual benefits for partners,  customers, and Microsoft

  • Software Assurance (SA) benefit available to eligible Microsoft customers worldwide

  • Offered at no cost to the customer—Microsoft pays partners to deliver customized deployment plan services

  • Creates revenue opportunities to partners in the form of ongoing services as a trusted advisor

  • Helps move eligible customers toward a more efficient infrastructure by deploying Modern Office (Office 2003 /Windows XP; 2007 Office/ Vista)

  • Customers qualify for different levels depending on SA spend (1,3,5,10, & 15-day engagements)

  • Leverages different funding models and DDPS partners worldwide to provide a customized deployment plan to customers without Software Assurance (SA)

  • Harnesses deployment planning activities so they can be tracked and influenced to consider purchasing SA

  • Concentrates on specific engagement levels based on the funding model, field strategy, and identified customer opportunity

  • Designed to provide key mid-market and Enterprise customers with a deployment plan to drive Modern Office

  • * Number of DDPF days funded will vary by Sub

  • ** Replaces programs such as DSP

  • Once it’s determined a customer is not eligible for DDPS, there is an opportunity to upsell to SA to receive associated benefits

  • Extends partner investment by connecting them to all deployment planning opportunities

  • Provides a valuable deployment plan to assess investment in IT infrastructure

  • Utilizes other funds from field, partner and even customer to provide a deployment plan *

  • *Number of DDPF days funded will vary by Sub.

  • Examples:

  • US (formerly DSP) funds 3-day DDPF engagements

  • Australia funds 5-day DDPF engagements

  • Reduces application deployment costs

  • Enables delivery of applications as services

  • Allows for better management and control of enterprise desktop environments
