  7. Teacher Engagement as an End User: Training Required to Support Teacher Engagement! Blended Delivery • Webinars; quick tip guides; presentations; videos; handouts; in-person; etc. • A website to archive for after-hours access • A social network to enable bottom up support Targeted Content • Understanding how to use data tools • Understanding of what the reports mean • How to building a data team • Using Data for Specific Purposes (RTI teams; Spec Ed teams; Guidance; etc.) • Training Tied to Specific Uses (e.g., Training on test item analysis immediately after test results are released). • Knowledge of Assessment Literacy Post-Training Resources • Dedicated time identified by administrators to work with data Small Groups!!! What went well… Established clear process of requesting and releasing data Established “Master” reports to pull from Established processes that allowed team to adjust priorities at a moment’s notice Established a process of validation and checking to ensure data accuracy Data calendar representing the flow of data (internal and external) was established SLDS Webinar 8-21-13

  14. What didn’t go so well… Appetite was so ferocious staff could not keep up • Turned into a data request “sweat shop” Important areas were neglected • Alignment of systems • Support of the offices • Data interpretation and assistance SLDS Webinar 8-21-13
