  1. Chico Puppy Training - How to Train Chico Without Scaring Your Pants Off! Chico puppy training can be a fun experience, but also a challenge. Chico puppy training is very curious, active and at times a little rough around the edges, but overall a very sweet dog. Chico puppy training will require some patience on your part, but if you are persistent and consistent you will find that your Chico puppy training will go smoothly and very quickly. It will take some time, but it is worth the effort. The first step in Chico puppy training is to get him or her used to a leash and to the structure of your home. Get your dog on a leash and walk with them each day for around a half hour. Make sure that you are not in a room with multiple people when you do this exercise. You want to get them used to the routine of coming to you for attention and to the point where they learn that you are the leader of the pack. If you are trying to teach Chico to heel, make sure you are in a room with three other people; make sure that the dog knows that there is only one of you and that he or she is not in any type of dominance position with the other person. This is very important in learning how to heel. One of the most important aspects of Chico puppy training is to never use physical force, yelling or hitting. When a dog pulls on the leash and does not know any better, they may snap, bite or do any other harmful thing that could injure them. Always communicate with the Chico puppy while he or she is on leash and let them know what is acceptable and what is not.

  2. Chico is a highly trainable dog and requires lots of treats and praise for good behavior. Be sure to always reward your puppy with a treat immediately after good behavior. Your puppy will learn what behavior gets a reward and what behavior does not. You are not trying to train Chico to do something stupid; your goal is to teach him or her the appropriate ways to do it. There are a few simple techniques that work great in Chico puppy training. The first thing you need to know about Chico training is that a dog likes to be the boss. In order to effectively train Chico, you should establish your dominance over your puppy from the beginning. Once you have proven yourself as the pack leader, your puppy will begin to see you as that leader. Remember, when a dog thinks that they are being mistreated, they will either snap or bite. Some other simple techniques that work great in Chico puppy training are to train him or her to walk on a heel. This simple command requires you to hold a treat above your puppy's head and say "up". Your puppy must then stand on his or her heel. After a few trials, this command will become natural for your puppy and you can eliminate the snap. When you reward your Chico with treats, he or she will see the correlation between standing firmly on his or her heel and getting rewarded.
