  2. Daily Class Plan • Date: August 26, 2013 • Warm up writing assignment: Make a list of 7 good things that have happened to you and 2 bad things. Choose one and write a paragraph about it. • You Need: writing instrument, notebook, paper, • Reminders: have your binder open and opened to the bell-ringer/warm-up asked for, and ready to go each day. It is the most important item in this class.

Are stories important if they are not real/factual? Why or why not? • Assignment: In your partner setting, develop a bookstore ad that argues why someone should read fiction. Why did it have such an impact on you? • You Need: writing instrument, notebook Interactive Reader (IR), IR Worksheet, and the Literature textbook. • Assignment: • Interactive Reader Scavenger Hunt w/Partner • 30 second expert (partners) on mythology • Examine the images of Pandora’s Box, Pgs 474-479 in Literature Book, and Pgs 222-235 in Interactive Reader. • Take notes in your READING SECTION. Vocab: theme, myth, vocabulary in context.

Keep ALL of your info organized in it! • Write out the MONTH – ALWAYS! • Don’t write outside of the margins on your paper! (That pink line is there for a reason!) • Keep bookshelves neat and tidy! • Contracts/Paperwork? • You should be working on your project! (You should have it ready next Friday!!) • Neat handwriting is mandatory!
