Being a young girl exposed to human trafficking. • My sales funded a drug business. • Organised crime. • A family member sold me! • Drugged. Affected drug addiction. • 1000kr Per person. Late effects; • Guilt and shame. • Self-Injury and Suicide attempts. • Substance abuse. • Eating Disorder. Atypical anorexia / Bulimia • Relational injuries and association challenges. • Problems dealing with own body. • Where are my boundaries? • How can you relate to own sexuality.
Road ahead; • I thought it was normal that everyone were exposed to the same things I were. • I was explained the term, Human trafficking. • I have experienced assistants with little knowledge related to human trafficking. And what they can do. • Break the silence and taboos. Put guilt and shame in the right place.
Road ahead; • Importance; of at least one healthy relationship to a trust person who dares to see you, listen to you, and walk your way with you even in adversity. One who believes in you, even when you feel you have lost faith in yourself. • Find that property inherent in you that is healthy. To me this was music. • It's never too late to regain lost childhood, no matter what others tell you. • Do things in small steps to grow your self-worth, let the positive develop, and your body and mind will follow.
Prevention and disclosure. • Hygiene and care. • Mandatory fullbody-examination of all children in Norway. • Continue to increase the competence of all professional organizations and agencies working with children who may be exposed to human-trafficking. • Strengthen mapping in asylum reception centers, child welfare and care centers for single minor asylum seekers as early as possible on arrival.
Prevention and disclosure. • The municipalities and counties Cannot put down the measures that exist now related to human trafficking, even though there are no children on a specific decision regarding §4.29, we must find out why. We know that 1 million children worldwide are exposed to human trafficking. They do not vanish in thin air, perhaps we aren't catching them. We have to be preventive! • (§ 4-29. Temporary placement in institution without consent in case of danger of exploitation of human trafficking.) • Find out if women exposed to human-trafficking have children and wherever they are and what danger they are in. • Ask out of curiosity if the child is going abroad on vacation.
Advice and guidance. • Don’t ask just once. Keep it up, be patient and fearless. • Do you have a suspicion? Call the police and share your concerns. Do it once too much, than once too little. • Ask me questions in an open manner that invite me to give an answer without taking away my opinions and feelings. • We have a responsibility to maintain this topic on the agenda and raise it up on the political plane. We must not forget this group. • Can you explain that what has happened to me is not legal and that it is punishable.
Advice and guidance. • Do not talk above my head, talk to me, ask me, explain me, show me, listen to me! • Do not be afraid to show that a situation or event affects you. Talk to me. Tell me. Show me who you are in good situations, but also bad ones. We are both people. • Tell me that I can always come to you to talk about what I think is hurtful, painful and difficult. • What’s the difference between a good secret and a bad secret. • Ask me directly. Dare to use the difficult words, don’t wrap them up. • Can you tell me? "Thank you for choosing to telling this to me in particular. I know this hurts and that this is not a secret you should carry on your own”
