What is a Coastal Trail?

  • It’s a way of travel along our Coast

  • It hugs our coast as closely as possible

  • It provides for people on foot, bicycles and horses

  • It connects public coastal access locations

What is a Trail Stop?

  • A place to meet others

  • A place to rest and enjoy nature

  • A place to learn about our area

  • A place for trail users to feel welcome

How did we choose a location?

  • Views of mountains, open fields, creekside riparian habitat

  • Junction of two popular trails

  • Historical location of 1776 de Anza Expedition camp

  • Provide amenities where no others exist

What will the Trail Stop offer?

  • Paved area of 400 square feet

  • Bench and table

  • Hitching posts for horses

  • Rack to hold bicycles

  • Trash container

  • Boulders and native landscaping

  • Four information panels
