  2. Who is eligible to submit requests for space? For student organizations an officer (the President, Vice President, Secretary or Treasurer that is on file with the SG office) must initiate the reservation request Faculty and staff may submit request on behalf of their departments

  3. How do I submit a request for space? • All requests must be submitted on the Russell House website: www.sa.sc.edu/rhuu • Officers of a registered student organization may login using the organization’s e-mail address provided by the Office of Student Government and Student Organizations. • Faculty and staff may login using their GroupWise e-mail account. *** Please note that if you or your organization has not submitted requests before you will need to click on “My Account” and then “Create an Account”. ***

  4. How early should I submit requests? • By 3pm the business day prior for small events: less than 60 people with standard setups, information tables • At least 1 month notice for large events: more than 60 people with special setups requiring A/V equipment, any event in the ballroom or theater

  5. What information do I need to provide to the Event Services Office? • Fill out the online request form completely and to the best of your ability. • Additional information may be needed depending on the type and size of the event: • Large Event Checklist • Diagrams • Security Plans • Parking Arrangements

Tips and Reminders: • Make sure you have confirmation that space has been reserved BEFORE you advertise for your events. • If you need to cancel an event: Send an e-mail to reserve@gwm.sc.edu by 3pm the business day prior to your request. Failure to show or cancel may result in cancellation fees and loss of reservation privileges. • Remember to sign and return your confirmations to the Event Services Office. Events will not be confirmed without signature.
