And really among the network of chesnut trees you’ll be able to see many architectural styles, hear various languages, experience various traditions and religions.

  10. This is where the Black Sea and the Crimean Mountains touch each other. This combination makes the peninsula the most popular area in Ukraine for recreation. In fact , the fame of the resort dates back to the XIX century when the Russian Tsars and nobility began building their residences on the cost. Today these Palaces are open to the public:Livadia Palace, Vorontsov Palace in Alupka, Massandra and others.

  13. They call this city “The perl at the Black Sea” This is a very special place in Ukraine with extraordinary aura. When the city was being founded over 200 years ago, energetic and brave representatives of many nations came from different places to built the city. The French Duke de Rechelieu, a grandson of the famous French Cardinal, and later – the Prime minister of France, is called one of the fathers of the city by its residents. Here one can seeUkrainians, Russians, Moldovans, Greeks, Bulgarians, Jewish, people as well aspeople from France,England and many others.

  16. The Western part of Ukraine – Lviv (Lemberg at the time of the Austro - Hungarian Empire) is Ukraine’s “secret western capital”. Just an hour by a plane from Vienna or Berlin and you are in the Lion city. It was founded in 1256 by Prince Danylo Halytskiy and named in honour of his son Lev or Leo. Due to the abundance of architectural and historical monuments, the city was recognized by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee as a treasure house of culture and the central part of the city was included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage.

  17. Lviv is also called Paris of Eastern Europe, as there are more than half of all the historical sites of Ukraine there. You can admire monuments of different eras created by the combination of numerous national cultural traditions. The narrow cobblestone streets, rich architectural surroundings, quaint cafes and shops make Lviv an unforgettable city.
