Why History Won’t be Repeated • The net incomes of 2006-2007 are large negative values, affecting the ROE ratio. • Attributed to: • Declining interest rates  Loss of interest income • Gain on disposal of assets (i.e. sale of patents) decreased • Sold handheld hardware business (Large part of Total Returns) • Great mark down of inventories • Targus not a client anymore • ROE stabilized in 2008-09
