  4. Introduction • All P.E. kits must be in school all week (Term 1 can be taken home on Wednesday for washing) • Non-marking indoor shoes must be in school at all times. • P7A - Wednesdays • P7N – Tuesdays and Wednesdays

  5. Introduction • Flute – Mondays • Cello and violin – Tuesdays • Glee Club – Monday afternoon • Netball – Wednesday afternoon • Football – Saturday morning

Learning to Learn • All learning in P7 is child-centred. • In P7, our task is to create a learning environment which fosters skill development which enables the children to become independent, motivated, curious and creative learners. • Higher Order Thinking Skills • Bloom’s taxonomy • Growth Mindset

  7. Literacy in P7 • Weekly literacy will include: • Grammar task • Class novels • ERIC (Everybody Reading In Class) • Big Writing and VCOP • SRA (reading comprehension)

  8. Literacy in P7 • Lower Order Thinking Skills • Closed answer questions • “Can you list three main events in the story?” • “Why does … happen?” • Higher Order Thinking Skills • Open answer questions • “Which facts show…?” • “What would happen if…?”
