Core - Will be resourced in-house • Supports a core “business capability”, or • Is a market differentiator, or • Reflects a unique aspect of the organization’s business or culture. Commodity -Will be part of a contingent workforce • Not Core, and • External vendors could do it as well, or • Cheaper, or • Faster, or • For just the limited time period it’s needed.
