  2. Project Overview Animal Project This week second graders will be learning about animal and plant life cycles. Our field trip to the Indianapolis Zoo is this Friday, May 23rd!

I Can: • Identify the meaning or lesson of a story. • Explain Life Cycles in Plants and Animals • Contrast Life Cycles in plants and different animals Reading Life Cycles Noise Level 1 Monday Look at the picture on page 192 and 193. Discuss what you think the animal will grow up to be. Then, Read Lesson 1: What is the life cycle of a butterfly? Tuesday Lesson 2: What is the life cycle of a frog? Read the lesson and complete the responses in your group. Wednesday Lesson 3: What is the life cycle of a plant? Read and complete the responses in your reading group. Thursday Quiz Friday Field Trip to the Indianapolis Zoo! • Materials Needed • Science Journal • Pencils Project Connection Animals
