  4. Current Requirements • 250 or more employees • Average State Disability Insurance and Personal Income Tax (SDI/PIT) deposit of $20,000 or more

  5. New Requirements • January 1, 2017 10 or more employees • January 1, 2018 All remaining employers

  6. Advantages • Increases data accuracy • Protects data through encryption • Reduces paper and mailing cost • Eliminates lost mail

Two Ways to Participate • SIDES E-Reponse: • Designed for a lower volume of UI claims. • Does not require any special programming or software. • SIDES Web Service: • Designed for a higher volume of UI claims and for employers/TPAs who operate in multiple states. • Requires coordination with NASWA to implement special programming for a computer-to-computer interface.
