  4. Vocabulary Archipelago- a chain of islands Ring of Fire- a circle of active volcanoes that circle the Pacific Ocean. There are many active volcanoes along the mountains of Central America. Coniferous-a kind of cone bearing tree, more common in the mountain areas.
