English IV: September 13 • Activity with September 11 videos • Assignment: • Select a memory that relates to some historical event that happened in your lifetime. • Write a narrative for that memory and videotape the narrative using effective communication techniques. • Video is due for class September 27

Video rubric • Does the speaker clearly state what the historical event is that they are relating to the class? • Does the speaker present him/herself in a way that is professional (dress, response, etc)? • Is the speaker’s story easily understood in how the event affected them? • Does the speaker relay their story without any fillers (uh, like, etc)? • Video should last 1:30-2:00 minutes in length • For each of these: Total points possible = 100 • 5 for work that is clearly done and exceeding expectations • 4 points for categories that are somewhat completed, but could have been better • 3 points if the response is 1:00-1:30 and/or there are deficits in the response • 2 points if work is unacceptably brief (less than 1 minute) and/or there is a serious misunderstanding of the assignment
