WHO WE ARE ...

1. WHO WE ARE ... Sercaia School is in a central rural Romanian community, it has a multicultural and multiethnical identity, of different religious beliefs : we are Romanians, Saxons, Hungarians, Gypsies. Our pupils come from the village of Sercaia, as well as from other villages, like Halmeag and Vad. Halmeag village is extremely small.  However, by its people, it is great.

The Bust of the Queen is linked with the revolution of 1848-1849.  When Elizabeth donated large sums of money  to help the orphans, and in the places where they sent the money, they made ​ money busts. There are legends about the bust of Halmeag which circulate everywhere today and the truth is shrouded in myth. It is said that villagers risked their lives to hide the statue from the communist persecution. The sculpture is very interesting.  Two sides of a large palm leaf, following separate components, up, art-deco style of lily petals around the base that supports the bust. On the front, in a half bow, her name is written  in Hungarian: "ERZSEBET". The statue is designed in a realistic manner, faithfully restoring the facial features, hair styles hair, looking melancholy. These are all the rules of classical forms.

7. IN EUROPE She was considered to be one of the most beautiful women.
