  2. Introduction Slip covers are a simple way to change your furniture without buying a new piece completely. They also protect furniture from everything from everyday wear and tear as well as intense wear and tear from children and pets. Slipcovers 'slip' off easily for cleaning and replacing if you want to change the colour design in any room.

  3. Measure every aspect of the furniture you are creating the slipcover for using a measuring tape

  4. Buy the slipcover fabric

  5. Lay the material over the furniture, tucking into crevices and folds to be certain there is enough to go around

  6. Cut the material, according to your measurements, in the approximate shape of each portion of the furniture

  7. Lay each shape, right side down, on top of its corresponding shape of the slipcover furniture

  8. Pin of each piece of slipcover fabric to each other, underside up, to create the same form as the furniture.

  9. Sew a non-essential piece first, and then place it back on the slipcover furniture to ensure a nice fit. 

  10. Fit entire finished product on the furniture and make any necessary changes
