  2. Eligibility Decision-Making Part C to Part B The Education Evaluation Report will replace the Intensive Instruction Plan as the documentation required for making eligibility decisions when transitioning from Part C to Part B.

  3. Rationale: • The IFSP process includes: • Information about the rate of progress • Performance monitoring data • Opportunities for Data Analysis and decision-making with multiple measures • Information about Instruction • Parents are involved in the IFSP process • IFSP development is a team effort • The Educational Evaluation Report provides a tool for summarizing and documenting the information about progress as well as information related to need, discrepancy, progress, and convergence of data

  4. Communication Plan • Service Coordinator Meetings – Sept. 25 & 26th • Early Childhood Professional Development Meeting – Sept. 28th • LEA Communication – Responsibility of the RA • Other AEA staff – Responsibility of the RA

  5. Continuing Work for Early Childhood Staff • Ongoing professional development/support for writing measurable goals • Ongoing professional development/support for data collection and analysis methods • Ongoing professional development/support for using research-based instruction • Agency-wide monitoring for quality of IFSP’s

  6. Other News:IFSP Paperwork Checklist • Will be disseminated at SC meetings • Will provide information about required paperwork to SC • Will assist SC in meeting compliance issues • Has been cross-referenced with other AEA Early Access liaisons, Rule and Regulations for Part C, Module 3 training, and with DE personnel
