  2. Life Facts • Milton Snavely Hershey was born on Sept. 13, 1857 and was an only child • In 1898, Milton got married to Catherine “Kitty” Sweeney. • Hershey died at age 88.

  3. Accomplishments Hershey created a candy business that is still a big success today. Milton also was famous for creating an orphanage with his wife.

  4. Connection to Pennsylvania Milton Hershey lived in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Hershey’s candy factories were built in PA.

  5. Interesting or Extra Facts Milton failed many times in his candy career, but he never gave up . Milton Hershey has an amusement park named after him called Hershey Park. Milton named the Kit Kat bar after his wife Kitty.
