Finding Philip, he said to him, "Follow me."44 Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida. (NIV)

  7. 45 Filipv lorz buatc Naa^taa^naa^en ziouc gorngv, "Dongh Mose fiev jienv wuov Leiz-Latc Sou, caux Tin-Hungh nyei zuangx douc waac mienh fiev nyei sou ziangv jienv gorngv wuov laanh mienh, yie mbuo duqv buatc aqv. Se Yosepv nyei dorn, Naa^saa^letv Mungv nyei Yesu." 46 Naa^taa^naa^en naaic gaax, "Haih maaih haaix nyungc longx nyei yiem Naa^saa^letv Mungv cuotv fai?" Filipv gorngv, "Daaih mangc maah!" 45 Philip found Nathanael and told him, "We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph." 46 "Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?" Nathanael asked. "Come and see," said Philip. (NIV)

  8. 47 Yesu buatc Naa^taa^naa^en daaih lorz ninh ziouc gorngv, "Naaiv dauh za'gengh zien I^saa^laa^en Mienh. Yesu dau, "Filipv maiv gaengh heuc meih wuov zanc, meih yiem wuov ngongh nyorx ndiangx-gorn, yie buatc liuz meih aqv." 47 When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, "Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is nothing false."48 "How do you know me?" 9. 49 Naa^taa^naa^en gorngv, "Sai-Diex aah! Meih za'gengh Tin-Hungh nyei Dorn. Meih zoux I^saa^laa^en Mienh nyei Hungh." 50 Yesu gorngv, "Weic zuqc yie gorngv yie buatc meih yiem ngongh nyorx ndiangx-gorn meih cingx daaih sienx? Meih zungv oix duqv buatc sic gauh hlo jiex naaiv." 49 Then Nathanael declared, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel." 50 Jesus said, "You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You shall see greater things than that.” (NIV)

  10. 51 Yesu aengx gorngv mbuox Naa^taa^naa^en, "Yie mbuox zien meih mbuo, meih mbuo oix buatc lungh gaengh nqoi, yaac buatc Tin-Hungh nyei fin-mienh yiem yie, Baamh Mienh nyei Dorn, gu'nguaaic faaux-faaux njiec-njiec." 51 He then added, "I tell you the truth, you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.” (NIV)

  11. Biux Mengh Waac Introduction Ih hnoi mbuo oix hoqc taux biei dauh zorng-zengx mienh nyei jauv. Mbuo oix mangc gaax naaiv deix biei dauh zorng-zengx mienh gorngv taux haaix nyungc jauv. Today we are going to learn about four witnesses witness. We are going to look at what they are witness about.

  12. I. Yesu Se Me^si^yaa, Giduc: An^ndaa^lu Nyei Zorng-Zengx, 1:35-42. Jesus the Messiah, the Christ: The Witness of Andrew, 1:35-42. A. Naaiv se An^ndaa^lu lorz buatc Yesu nyei jauv. Ninh hiuv duqv Yesu se zoux Me^si^yaa, zoux Giduc wuov dauh. This was Andrew’s discovery of Jesus. He discovered that Jesus was the Messiah, the Chris:

  13. 1. An^ndaa^lu duqv seix liuz mueix. Andrew’s experience (vv.35-37) 2. An^ndaa^lu nyei oix zuqc dingc hnyouv nyei ziangh hoc. Andrew’s critical hour (vv.38-39). 3. An^ndaa^lu dingc hnyouv mingh gan Yesu se benx hlo haic nyei jauv. Andrew’s great decision: he came and saw Christ and remained (vv-39-40)

  14. 4. An^ndaa^lu nyei da’yietv nyungc caauh fim taux: ninh nyei gorx nyei jauv. Andrew’s first concern: his brother (v.41) 5. An^ndaa^lu nyei sienx: Yesu se benx Me^si^yaa wuov dauh. Andrew’s conviction: Jesus the Messiah (v.41). 6. An^ndaa^lu nyei biouv: dorh Simon daaih lorz Yesu, Simon yaac sienx kaux Yesu. Andrew’s fruit: Simon was brought to Jesus and was reaped (v.42).

  15. B. Mbuo laanh laanh mienh yaac fih hnangv nyei maaih biaa mbiec gong oix zuqc zoux. The same five steps must be taken by each of us: 1. Oix zuqc souv yiem dongh maaih zunh Doz nyei waac nyei dorngx, fai maaih zunh Giduc nyei jauv-louc nyei dorngx. A person must stand where the Word, Christ Himself, is peached (vs. 35-37).

  16. 2. Oix zuqc maaih ngorc nyei hnyouv, ngorc nyei hnyouv se haih zoux bun ninh zunh Ziouv nyei jauv. A person must have a hunger heart that drives him to preaching (vs.40-42) 3. Ngorc nyei hnyouv se tengx ninh haih yiem duqv jienv zunh doz nyei dorngx, bun ninh nyei m’zing haih nziaang, caux haih faix fim, yaac haih muangx duqv haiz Tin-Hungh nyei waac. A hunger heart to drives him to stay alert and awake to hear the Word of God that has proclaiming.

  17. 4. Oix zuqc douc Tin-Hungh nyei waac, oix zuqc box mengh: Tin-Hungh nyei ba’gi yungh Dorn daaih aqv, daaih teix lungh ndiev mienh nyei zuiz aqv. A person must bear the Word, the announcement: the Lamb of God has come to take away the sin of the world. 5. Oix zuqc gan Yesu. A person must follow Jesus.

  18. II. Filipv Zoux Zorng-Zengx gorngv: Yesu ganh Gorngv (1:43-45. Jesus The One Prophesied: The Witness of Philip, 1:43-45. A. Filipv zoux zorng-zengx gorngv Yesu se dongh yiem Ging-Sou gorngv laengz jienv oix daaih wuov dauh Me^si^yaa (1:43-45). Philip’s discovery and witness of Jesus Christ was unmistakable. Jesus was the One prophesied in Scripture; He was the promised Messiah (1:43-45).

  19. 1. Filipv hiuv duqv nyei jauv. Philip’s experience (vv.43-44). 2. Filipv nzauh taux: Naa^taa^naa^en nyei jauv. Philip’s first concern: Nathanael (v.45). 3. Filipv sienx dingc gorngv: Yesu se dongh laengz jienv oix daaih wuov dauh. Philip’s conviction: Jesus was the One promised (v.45).

  20. B. Mbuo oix zuqc hnamv taux naaiv jauv. We must think of it. 1. Mbuo laanh laanh mienh oix zuqc muangx longx, haaix zanc mbuo haiz Giduc daaih lorz mbuo, mbuo oix zuqc sepv-sepv nyei zipv, weic zuqc Tin-Hungh nyei Singx-Lingh maiv yietc liuz caux baamh mienh yiem. Every person must heed the seeking of Christ when His seeking is sensed. A person must respond immediately, for God’s Spirit does not always strive with man.

  21. 2. Cong-Mengh Waac gorngv, “Haaix dauh zanc-zanc zuqc gorngv-hemx corc hnyouv ngaengc, wuov dauh ziouc liemh zeih zuqc mietc, maiv maaih za'eix goiv duqv nzuonx.” (Cong-Mengh Waac 29:1). “A man who remains stiff-necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy.” (Proverbs 29:1).

  22. B. Naaiv se benx mbuo baamh mienh ganh nyei dorngc, cingx daaih qiemx zuqc dorh Njoux Ziouv daaih (Lomaa 5:14-19; cf. 1 Ko^lin^to 15:21-220; Gorngv Seix Zaangc 7:29; E^se^ken 28:15). It was man’s faults that brought the need of a Savior (Romans 5:14-19; I Corinthians 15:21-22; cf. Ecclesiastes 7:29 and Ezekiel 28:15).

  23. III. Yesu se Tin-Hungh nyei Dorn, I^saa^laa^en Mienh nyei Hungh: Naa^taa^naa^en nyei Zorng-Zengx waac, (1:46-49). Jesus the Son of God, the King of Israel: The Witness of Nathanael, (1:46-49).

  24. A. Naa^taa^naa^en buangh Yesu nyei jauv-louc. Naa^taa^naa^en se benx yietc dauh doix-dekc mienh nyei mienh, maiv gunv hnangv naaic, ninh corc zieqv duqv ninh se benx yietc dauh maiv lamh hnamv dorngx nyei mienh, ninh se benx yietc dauh aqc jiex dorh mingh lorz Giduc nyei mienh. Nathanael’s confrontation with Jesus was dramatic. Nathanael was a man of prejudice and strong feelings, yet he knew despair and hopelessness; therefore, he was difficult to lead to Christ.

  25. Maiv gunv ninh hnangv naaic, ninh nyei a’nziaauc doic, Filipv corc maiv guangc zoux zorng-zengx bun ninh. Weic naaiv, Naa^taa^naa^en ziouc duqv goiv hnyouv nzuonx daaih sienx kaux Giduc. However, despite all, his friend Philip persisted and refused to give up in witnessing to him. As a result, Nathanael was won to Christ.

  26. 1. Naa^taa^naa^en duqv paanx jiex daaih nyei jauv. Nathanael’s experience (v.46). 2. Naa^taa^naa^en buangh Yesu nyei jauv. Nathanael’s confrontation with Jesus (vv.47-48). 3. Naa^taa^naa^en sienx gorngv: Yesu se Tin-Hungh nyei Dorn. Nathanael’s conviction: Jesus was the Son of God (v.49).

  27. B. Maaih Buo Nyungc Jauv Mbuo Oix Zuqc Hnamv Taux. Note Three Things: 1. Maiv gunv mienh maaih haaix nyungc zuiz yaac baac, mbuo oix zuqc mingh mbuox ninh mbuo daaih buangh Yesu. Weic zuqc Filipv mingh mbuox ninh nyei a’nziaauc doic, Naa^taa^naa^en, maiv gunv gorngv ninh doix-dekc. No matter what the sin is, we must still go and invite people to come and see Christ. Because Philip went to his friend, Nathanael and invited him, even he is prejudice.

  28. 2. Bun mbuo daaih hnamv mangc gaax Naa^taa^naa^en zoux nyei jauv, ninh zungv kaav deix piatv mi’aqv, se gorngv….ninh bun ninh nyei doix-dekc jauv daaih zoux njongc nqaeqv Naa^saa^letv Mungv wuov dauh Yesu nor. Think what Nathanael would have missed if he had…..let his prejudice against Jesus of Nazarene, let his wallowing around in despair keep him from coming to Jesus.

  29. 3. Dorh mienh daaih lorz Yesu nyei jauv se, maiv zeiz caux ninh nzaeng, mv baac oix zuqc doix hmien caux ninh gorngv taux Yesu nyei jauv mbuox ninh. The way to lead a man to Christ is not argument, but confronting him with Christ.

  30. 4. Naaiv se dongh Naa^taa^naa^en nyiemc Yesu nyei jauv. “Naa^taa^naa^en gorngv, "Sai-Diex aah! Meih za'gengh Tin-Hungh nyei Dorn. Meih zoux I^saa^laa^en Mienh nyei Hungh." (Yo^han 1:49). This is the confession of Nathanael about Jesus. “Then Nathanael declared, "Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel." (John 1:49).

  31. IV. Yesu ganh gorngv, Ninh se zoux Baamh Mienh nyei Dorn, zoux Tin-Hungh caux baamh mienh nyei Mbu’ndongx Mienh (Yo^han 1:50-51). Jesus the Son of Man, God’s Mediator: The Witness of Jesus Himself, (John 1:50-51).

  32. 1.Yesu dau Naa^taa^naa^en nyei jauv. The response of Jesus to Nathanael (John 1:46-49). 2. Yesu se benx Tin-Hungh laauc Yaangh nyei jauv: Dongh hinc mbuoqc horngh nyei sic wuov dauh. Jesus is the revelation of God: the One who reveals greater things (John 1:50).

  33. 3. Yesu se benx mbu’ndongx-mienh: Dongh koi Tin-Dorngh nyei gaengh wuov dauh. Jesus is the mediator: the One who opens the doors of heaven (John 1:50). 4. Yesu se zoux baamh mienh nyei dorn: zoux jangx-hoc, benx dunh yunh nyei wuov dauh diqv zuangx mienh. Jesus is the Son of Man: the pattern, the perfect representative of man (John 1:51).

  34. Setv Mueiz Waac ConclusionIh hnoi naaiv zaang Ging-Sou se setv mueiz aqv. Mbuo duqv hoqc taux naaiv deix zorng-zengx mienh gorngv taux Yesu yiem ziex nyungc jauv, yaac maaih ziex nyungc eix-leiz. Naaiv deix yietc zungv jauv nzutv zunv daaih se maaih hnangv naaiv mingh.
