  3. Phrymaleptostachya • Herb, 1-2’ tall • Opposite, ovate, coarsely toothed leaves • Small pinkish flowers in terminal (axillary) spike(s), maturing gradually from base to tip • Seeds soon reflexed or “lopped” against the stem
