ABTA: The Association of British Travel Agents is the UK's premier trade association for tour operators and travel agents. Our ABTA bond guarantees your financial security. ROSPA: The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents is actively involved in the promotion of safety and the prevention of accidents in all areas of life. Acorn is a member of RoSPA and our Safety Management System has been developed in conjunction with RoSPA. ATOL: ATOL is a protection scheme for flights and air holidays, managed by the CivilAviation Authority (CAA). Our ATOL number is ATOL 5525. IOL: The Institute for Outdoor Learning encourages outdoor learning by developing quality, safety and opportunity to experience outdoor activity provision and by supporting and enhancing the good practice of those who work in the outdoors. BCU: The British Canoe Union is the governing body for the sport and recreation of canoeing and kayaking in the United Kingdom BAHA: The British Activity Holiday Association is the trade association for private sector providers of activity holidays and courses with the objective of ensuring high standards of safety, instruction and quality of activities. BSC: The British Safety Council is one of the world’s leading health and safety organisations. Acorn Head Office is an approved BSC training centre for Health And Safety at Work and all senior staff have a level one qualification.

  8. About Ardres Acorn’s Ardres centre has a superb lakeside setting, perfect for watersports. The centre is a short walk away from the pretty town centre. The local area is delightful, with some excellent markets nearby, as well as some pretty French towns and beaches. Ardres is within easy reach of the World War 1 battlefields and is a four-hour drive away from Disneyland Paris.
