Los MandatosAfirmativos To create an affirmative tú command form for a regular verb, use the Ud./El/Ella form of the verb hablar – habla - ¡habla! – talk! leer – lee - ¡lee! – read! escribir – escribe - ¡escribe! – write! Poner and hacer both have irregular affirmative tú command forms: poner – pone - ¡Pon la mesa! hacer – hace - ¡Haz la tarea!

  3. Ejemplos: • ¡Escucha a la profesora! – Listen to the teacher! • ¡Compartetusjuguetes! – Share your toys! • ¡Bebemuchaagua! – Drink a lot of water! • ¡Ponturopa en el armario! – Put your clothes in the closet! • ¡Haz la cama! – Make the bed!

  4. More command forms • In the “tú” commands, there are irregulars in the positive commands: • hacer - haz-do/make tener– ten – have/be • decir – di -say/tellponer– pon –put/set • venir – ven -come ir– ve -go • salir – sal –go out/leaveser– sé -be

  5. Los mandatos with object and reflexive pronouns. • When making an affirmative command, you attach object or reflexive pronouns to the end of the word and then add an accent mark to the 3rd syllable back. • ¡Cómpralo! – Buy it! • Dime la verdad– tell me the truth. • Dámelos – Give them to me

  6. Los mandatosnegativos “tú” Negative commands: Start with the “yo” form of the verb Remove the “o” of the “yo” form Add “as” for er and ir verbs or Add “es” for ar verbs

  7. Mas mandatos • ¡No corras! – Don’t run! • ¡No hables en clase! – Don’t talk in class! • ¡No pongas la ropa en la cama!

  8. Los mandatosnegativos with object and reflexive pronouns • In negative commands, the object and reflexive pronouns go before the conjugated form. • ¡No teduermas! – Don’t fall asleep! (dormir – duermo) • ¡No me hables! - Don’t talk to me! (hablar – hablo)
