Specialist Regional Bodies (SRB)-Project Objective To strengthen regional networks for Quality Infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region Main Implementation Partners APMP, APLAC, PAC Status Project evaluation completed; 2nd phase planned from 01/2014; planning workshop planned in association with APMP GA in Taiwan (11/2013) Contact anna.cypionka@ptb.de

  8. Tentative Outline of New Project (I) Proposedbudget: 2 Mio. EUR Proposed term: 01/ 2014 to 12/ 2017 (four years) Proposed project partners: APMP (DEC) and APLMF Proposed project objective: The regional metrology networks in the Asia-Pacific region have improved their ability to support metrology systems in developing economies

Tentative Outline of New Project (II) • Proposed outputs • Tools and (training) programs developed to address the needs of developing economies • International recognition / harmonisation facilitated through participation in regional meetings / activities • Capacity building activities realised in cooperation with advanced APMP/APLMF members • Cooperation between APMP and APLMF and with other Specialist Regional Bodies strengthened

Association of South-East Asian Nations Objective To support regional harmonisation of QI in ASEAN and capacity building, especially in the CLMV countries Main Implementation Partners Asean Consultative Committee on Standards and Quality (ACCSQ), and related Working Groups on Standards, Accreditation and Legal Metrology & Product Working Groups. Status 1st phase to be completed end of 2013; 2nd four-year phase under preparation Contact andrea.ulbrich@ptb.de

  11. Planned New ASEAN-PTB Project Proposedbudget: 1,5 Mio. EUR Proposed term: 01/ 2014 to 12/ 2017 (four years) Project partners: ACCSQ Proposed project: will be part of a German Cooperation Program with GIZ supporting ASEAN’s efforts toward the ASEAN Single Market. Proposed project objective: the project will continue to work on improving QI services in ASEAN with focus on CLMV countries on a regional and bilateral level. Contact: andrea.ulbrich@ptb.de
