  1. 1. Pour the boiling water into the drain This can sometimes break the soap or grease holding the lock and block the lock. Used alone, this method may not work, especially if it is a severe block that contains a lot of moderate hair and built over time. However, you can partially fix the block and fully function clogged bathtub when used in conjunction with another method that is listed below. If your shower does not drain, it can be frustrating! The first symptom of an obstruction is usually when you are in a water bath that works too slowly. 2. Try to use a plunger The nature of the obstruction, where the drainage is in the exiting point, and the design of its drainage determines how successful the picking will be. For example, if the clogged bathtub drain is deep and made of it, you could have trouble getting enough suction to submerge effectively. You can try adding Vaseline to the edge of the suction cup to get a better seal and add water to the shower so that the plunger tip will submerge, if it is not yet. Diving is another method that usually has a low conversion rate in showers, in my experience, but it is always worthwhile because the time and cost are minimal. If you're not busy over time then it's good to try some easy and non-destructive techniques. 3. Bacon and Vinegar This is a more natural solution than the use of detergents. Pour one cup of bread into the drain, wait a few minutes, then pour a cup of vinegar. Wait a few hours to see if the hair is clogged and clean the drain by pouring boiling water. Although this method is environmentally friendly and can not cause damage to plastic pipes, you still have to resort to chemicals. 4. Remove drain cover and remove valve This method has a good chance of success, but it is about using hands, so I recommend using rubber gloves. First, remove the drain cover. Sometimes there is a screw in the middle that you have to take. Other times, you can turn off the drain hood with a screwdriver.

  2. Look into the drain and place the congestion. If necessary, use a flashlight. If the valve is within reach, pull it with your fingers. If it is not in range, go to method number 5. Let the water flow out of the shower! Sometimes a metal hook can be used to loosen or remove the plug. A hook can be formed from an old metal jacket pendant. 5. Use a hook If you can not reach the block by hand, try the plug with a piece of wire. You can improvise a tool with a wire pod hanger, with a hook at the end of it. 6. Use a plumber hose Push the hose into the basement drain clogged until it reaches the hiding place. Turn the hose handle and remove. Make water to test the drain and verify that the capping has been completely removed. 7. Use chemical products Most hardware stores and supermarkets sell strong chemical cleaners designed to unlock ventilation. Follow the instructions carefully. Do not apply chemicals slightly, as they can cause damage to drainage pipes, especially if you use this method repeatedly. However, the use of chemicals is often quick, easy, and affordable. Can minimize future use by avoiding future blockages 8. Call a plumber If you do not want to start draining your bathtub clog drain and it is uncomfortable to use chemicals, or if they do not work, you need to call a professional plumber. It is by far the least affordable option and clearly the last resort if you want to save on costs. Having said that, it is also the smallest problem. What Causes a Drain to Clog? A shower drain clogged is usually caused by a twisted knob hair, dirt, grease and / or soap. Hair is often wrapped around portions of the drain, and therefore can be difficult to move.

  3. The problem is much more common in homes where one or more shower users have long, short hair, because they are much less likely to be trapped in the drain. Eliminate the symptoms of a clogged showerhead The first time you realize you have a problem is when you are in a deep well in the shower because the water will not afvoelt as it should. Unfortunately, once drainage problems began, they usually only worsen unless action is taken. The sooner you handle the problem, the easier it will be to solve it. How to prevent future clogs Prevention is almost always better than cure, of course, so do not forget to reduce the chances of your extinguishing shower blockage again. You should definitely consider purchasing a drain protector, if it has not, to trap it and prevent other things from drainage discharge. A suitable dish soap can also help, because the soap can help to create button clogs of your link towards other large lumps. (Needless to say, it can lead to accidents caused by the slip of loose soap on the shower floor.)
