  9. Registration How didweobtain the SASO Certificate of Conformity ? Step 1. Registration of products • Allproducts • Per supplier or per product ? • Dividedinto 25 families: gearbox, motor, fans, bundles, valves, … • PO: ‘Supplier has to deliver all documentation necessary for obtention CoCenablingproduct to beimported in S-A.’ • ISO-certificates – Test reports – Techical data sheets

  10. Inspection Step 2. Inspection of products • When? Pre-shipment , in crates • What? Country of Origin + TAG-plate markings • Important: • Irremovable engravement of Country of Origin on eachproduct • Only 1 Country of Origin per crate

  11. Operation In practice? • Supplier: Cargo isready • RCDC: « Request for Certification + Declaration of Conformity » + ProFormaInvoice + Packing List • SGS: Visual Inspection of Tag-plates + Country of Origin • SGS: Draft + Issue Certificate of Conformity
