Fishery has providedfood for many peopleand consequently it has prevented hunger in the country.  They have been catching fishmainly in bigger rivers Likethe Vistula, San, or the Odra, but therearefishermen who havebeenfishing in lakes

Statistics • Statistical Polis person eats about 35% less fish than an inhabitant of the world, the same Pole eats about 51% less fish than an inhabitant of the European Union, reflecting the low use of resources coming from fishing. • Our country is the64thcountryon the list of fishing in the world.These statistics show that fisheries are a disappearing profession in Poland.

  13. Polish Angling Association Polish Angling Association (PZW) BIGGEST POLISH ASSOCIATION Anglers fishing and Angling BIGGEST USER INLAND WATERS IN POLAND? Angling Association brings about 650,000 anglers altogether thesedays. The association is based on the activities of social work members. The purpose of the association is to organize fishing, recreation, sports angling, water use, promoting conservation and fishing ethics development. PZWisinvolved in the development and waterconservation, carries out state ecological policy, and it accepted Poland international conventions and European Union directives.
