  1. Cold laser (acronym for light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation) therapy is a unique technique, which involves using low levels of light to stimulate the healing process. Unlike many of the laser therapies used for surgical or cosmetic treatments, cold laser therapy doesn’t cause the tissues to heat up, which is why it is also known as low-level laser therapy.

  2. Under this treatment, low-level light is applied around the problem area, and the absorption of the laser leads to a reaction, which promotes the regeneration of the damaged cells. The wavelength of the laser is dependent on the purpose of the treatment, but for general penetration, wavelengths between 600 and 700 nanometers are used.

  3. This is an entirely safe procedure, which is painless and considered non-invasive. In fact, one session of treatment can be completed in just a few minutes with no sound, heat or vibration.

  4. At refabFX, we offer Cold Laser Therapy and various other forms of treatment for back pain, neck pain and common sports injuries.

  5. If you have a question regarding the therapy or want to know more about the procedure, you can make an appointment with us for better understanding. We will help in deciding the best course of treatment, based on your condition and other relevant factors.
