  1. Digital Library Services presents The Digital Library Studio 2.0 Healey Library University of Massachusetts Boston

  2. Service Vision By outsourcing server hosting and maintenance, Healey Library is now in a position to capitalize on the strength of its offerings, and move forward with a new service model that is highly user-centric and tuned to the current information landscape (aka "Web 2.0") and beyond.  Healey Library 2.0 means inviting patron participation, escalating contact with faculty and students to offer ever more powerful connections to scholarly information, and reaching out and connecting with those who do not yet take full advantage of the Library's resources.

  3. Service Vision: Filling The Gap Between Web 1.0 (web sites, WebCT etc.) . . . and Web 2.0 The latest generation of web services, aka “Web 2.0,” opens up new and extremely powerful ways to use Library resources to enrich course content. Wikis, blogs, podcasts, mashups, news aggregators, Google Notebooks, Skype, del.icio.us, : these are all free, flexible, straightforward tools that can help locate data, manage the rush of incoming information, store web citations, communicate findings, collaborate on research projects, and much, much more.  They can be used to smoothly extend the functionality of WebCT and in fact, are easy, even fun, to use.  By making heavy use of these new web services, Healey Library is opening up the treasure trove of electronic resources available to UMB faculty and students.
