Web Tools • RCGP : www.rcgp.org.uk – GP curriculum area particularly relevant for established GPs; sections for eg significant incidents, audit, e-learning, reading, clinical encounters professional conversation, audit • http://www.rcgp.org.uk/councils__faculties/rcgp_scotland/products__services/npep.aspx • nPEP is predominantly an Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) aimed mainly at Specialist Registrars in General Practice (SpR GP). It is also an excellent learning tool for established GPs in the UK to identify specific educational needs and can be used as a means of managing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

This will be mandatory—ask your local employing or contracting organisation for advice • Make sure you are aware of your royal college guidance about evidence requirements (see college websites or www.appraisalsupport.nhs.uk ) • Learn how to use an electronic portfolio. Find the one most suitable for you through college websites or the following: • Stay up to date with what’s happening in revalidation and how it will affect you through local events, the GMC newsletter, and websites: GMC website (www.gmc-uk.org)
