Is there a tension between IPRs and a free market? • Brief recap of the Competition Course. What kind of competition are we primarily discussing in early case law? Is it a question of preventing activities that deviate from the ordinary norm as they may be harmful. Is this creating a more or less static situation where the purpose is lower prices and thereby consumer welfare. How important is this type of competition for economic development? • Economists are clearly changing the optic and promoting dynamic competition. Innovation and new development is now regarded as promoting economic development more than the traditional competition approach. What is the meaning and difference compared to static competition? How does it impact on the relationship between IPR and Competition Law?
