  2. Crucial to your business success Search engine optimisation is crucial to your business success. Regardless of the business’ size, proper optimisation will establish your online presence. An effective SEO strategy is essential for better ranking and sales. The first step in any SEO strategy is site auditing. I have discussed the basics of site auditing in my previous post before. You can use the ten tools I listed to audit and improve your website. To make things easier, I wrote a basic site auditing checklist for you. It is divided into two parts: on- page and off-page.

  3. Today’s article will focus on the importance of site indexing in your SEO audit. Checking if the pages of your website are indexed is part of the on-page auditing. According to Search Engine Land, making sure web pages can be indexed is key during an SEO audit. Your website needs to be indexed so it can be ranked.

  4. What is crawling and indexing? Crawling is a process done by Google’s Spider crawler. Crawlers visit your website for tracking purposes. Crawling means following the links or crawling around your site. Google’s bots use sitemaps to crawl because it contains all the site’s links. Indexing happens after crawling. Indexing is the process of putting the crawling results onto Google’s index. It is the process of adding web pages to Google’s search index. A N Y T H I N G S E O

  5. How do crawling and indexing affect site ranking? Search engines can only evaluate and rank websites if its pages can be crawled and indexed.
