Expanding Throughout AR – UAPB • Spring 2012 UG Biofuels Class: • 10 UAPB UG Students trained as “teacher mentors” for BioTech-iN-a-Box: Biofuels (BTNB). • Professional Development Workshop May 31st- June 1st • 8 regional (South AR) science teachers trained/certified • Participation by UG teacher mentors

Effective Partnering • Arkansas Biosciences Institute Outreach Program • 700 students 4-12 grade students/year tour P3 sites • >200 have done hands-on experiments. (e.g. Plant DNA Extraction, Making Biodiesel, etc.) • Other Partners • AR STEM Centers • Conway Ecofest • Professional Development • School Districts (e.g. science nights; science fair) • Summer Science Academies
