  1. Coming Closer to God

  2. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places Ephesians 1:3 ESV

  3. he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will Ephesians 1:5 ESV making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ 10.as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. Ephesians 1: 9 – 10 ESV

  4. 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, 18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints Ephesians 1: 17-18 ESV 12remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2: 12 – 13 ESV

  5. 15…………….that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, Ephesians 2:15b ESV So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, Ephesians 2:19 ESV When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, Ephesians 3: 4 ESV This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. Ephesians 3:6 ESV

  6. and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, 10 so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. 11 This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, Ephesians 3: 9-11 ESV (italics added) “……………………. I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16: 18 ESV

  7. “Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. 21 The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.” Revelation 3: 19 – 21 ESV

  8. Paul reveals God’s plans and purposes in three areas: • That God will unite all things in heaven and earth through Jesus • That both Jew and gentile believers are heirs together in the gospel and united as one Church in Christ Jesus • That through the Church, the wisdom of God will be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places

  9. For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, Ephesians 3: 14-15 ESV So then you are no longer strangers and aliens but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, Ephesians 2: 19 ESV that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, Ephesians 3: 16 ESV

  10. But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him” -10 these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 1 Corinthians 2: 9 – 10 ESV For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power. 1 Corinthians 4: 20 ESV “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1: 8 ESV

  11. “…………..If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him” John 14: 23 ESV

  12. “Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” 16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” 17 The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! Revelation 22: 12, 13, 16, 17 & 20 ESV ----------------------------------------------------------
