  1. CSA08 Electron: Tag & Probe Updates Jeffrey Berryhill Kalanand Mishra Fermilab Tag-probe efficiency with CSA08 Reco & re-Reco (S156) data

A reminder of tag-probe selection Tag Selection Probe Selection • Input: GsfElectrons. • In ECAL: || < 1.4442 || 1.56<|| < 2.5 • pT > 20 GeV/c. • Track isolation: - Sum(p_tk/p_el) < 0.2 - Inner cone dR = 0.02 - Outer cone dR = 0.2 - pT of tracks > 1.5 GeV/c • Electron ID: Robust • Trigger: HLT1ElectronEt15_L1R_NI • Input: SuperClusters. • In || < 1.4442 || 1.56<|| < 2.5 • pT > 20 GeV/c. • Fit the tag-probe invariant mass to get the number of signal events. Obtain factorized efficiencies for passing probes: SuperCluster  GsfElectron  Isolation  ID  HLT Kalanand Mishra, Fermilab

Progress this week • Final set of efficiencies w/ CSA08 Reco & re-Reco data. • Efficiency calculation in 2-dimensional binning. • Tried running with CRAB: - Can run successfully if not using electron ID - The electron ID module needs to read two text files via ‘search in the PATH’ method - Apparently, SCRAM does not set the same PATH while running in CRAB as it does interactively - Looking into how to get around this • Carmelo pointed out the location of PAT electron files over the weekend, but I am yet to run over them. • Uploaded electron-specific config files to CVS. Status & Summary • Final efficiencies with CSA08 data obtained. • Two-dimensional efficiency calculation implemented. • Moving forward to work with PAT electrons. • Tag-and-probe package available via MuonAnalysis/TagAndProbeHead • Working on to get around the CRAB feature of setting { CMSSW_PATH }.
