Self-employment Support Services • The Back to Work Enterprise Allowance Schemes • Two Schemes Available- • A) Short-Term Enterprise Allowance To Qualify you must • > be entitled to Jobseekers Benefit • > have 104 paid PRSI contributions • Or • >qualify for statutory redundancy • You will be paid the equivalent of your weekly Social Protection payment until your entitlement to Jobseekers Benefit Expires

  3. Self Employment Support measures (contd.) • 2) Back to Work Enterprise Allowance • To qualify you must • be 12 months signing and have an entitlement to Jobseekers Allowance • the scheme will last for 2 years and you will receive • >100% of your current payment in year 1 • >75% in year 2

  4. Employment Support Grant • Case Officers have access to an Employment Support Grant. This is only available to participants on the Back to Work Enterprise Allowance Schemes max €2,500 (pro-rata STEA €937 for 9 months and €625 for 6 months) Assistance can be for a range of business start up costs. • equipment, advertising,training

  19. The JobsPlus ProcessIn Five Easy Steps • Go to www.jobsplus.ie and register • Advertise your job as normal. • Candidates must verify their eligibility with JobsPlus. • Confirm approval with JobsPlus before starting • Agree a start date

  20. Part Time Job Incentive • Special weekly allowance • €119.00 per week if you are single • €193.90 per week if you are getting an increase for a qualified adult. • Not affected by part time paid employment • Must be under 24 hours • Last at least 2 months

  21. Family Income Supplement • Tax free payment for families on low income • Payment is conditional on Wage plus size of the family • 1 child €504 • 2 children €602 • 3 children €703 • 5 children €950

  23. FIS Conditions • Work 19 or more hours per week (or 38 or more hours per fortnight). Jobseekers can combine their weekly hours they have worked with their spouse, civil partner, cohabitant's hours to meet this condition. • Where the employment is likely to last at least 3 months.
