Available to Anyone on the CMS Website • MITA – Medicaid Information Technology Architecture – Standardizes how MMIS will be developed • X12/NCPDP/HL7 interoperability – Organizing how SDO products will work together • MSIS – Medicaid Statistical Information System -Standardizes Medicaid reporting to CMS • CMS Provider HIPAA Trainings, Nationally

  6. Collaboration with and for Clients • Clients generally do not have the opportunity to participate in SDOs. They rely on our expertise to help them with standards. • They detail their work requirements and we translate the standards to meet those requirements. • We may program systems, or participate in verification and validation of the work of other vendors.

  7. Collaboration with and for Clients • In reverse, we may take important issues related to client implementation back to SDOs or SDO support organizations. • Participation with Federal Organizations also means that issues and problems are given some consideration and resolution is pursued.

  8. Full Cycle • Ongoing participation in SDOs, SDO support organizations, and Federal Organizations means current standards are improved, client needs are met, and cross cutting issues are recognized for new standards development. All This Equals Progress
