  1. Setting up Gmail with Godaddy/Hostgator To use Gmail with your domain (e.g. moonlighthk.com) you will need to add the MX Entry records on your Cpanel. You can get these MX Records when setting upyour emails on Google Apps.You will need to have the Google Business account before the emails can be set to work with your domain.

  2. Setting up Gmail/Google Apps with Godaddy This applies for the domains that are registered on Godaddy and hosted on Google Apps/Gmail. 1. First you will need to create an Google Apps account hereand create the email accounts. Once you have the email accounts you need to login to your Godaddy account. Go to My Account -> Domains -> Domain name -> Launch v You can now connect Gmail to Godaddy automatically by going here and adding the login information. When using this method you don’t have to do the following steps below You can also refer to Google’s document on setting up Godaddy with Google apps here

  3. 2. On the Control Panel scroll down until you see the DNS Manager.Click on the Launch link below the DNS Manager After clicking the Launch, you can update the A, CNAME and MX Records.These details you can find from your Email Hosting company.

  5. 3. Choose Remote Mail Exchanger 4. Add the Gmail details toPriority and Destinationfields (see next slide)

Add the MX Records from Google Priority: 1 Destination: ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM Priority: 5 Destination: ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM Priority: 5 Destination: ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM Priority: 10 Destination: ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM Priority: 10 Destination: ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM Note: If there are any existing MX Records, remember to delete these beforeadding the Gmail MX Records Once you have added all these MX records the Gmail should be working with relevant domain.
