  1. CRITIQUE OBJECTIVE: You will analyze your artwork in order to assess your skills and concepts that you have learned. DRILL: Get your sketchbook and artwork. • What is a critique? • What is a critic? • What is a criteria?

  2. Vocab for final: A Critique is…A critique is a time to evaluate your work and other students’ artwork. A Critic is… one who evaluates. Criteria are… standards that are used as a basis for assessment. (GOALS)

  3. Grade for today: • 20 pts – putting art up. Yes or no • Finished or not • 8/10- not participating out loud • 11/10- verbal participation • 20 pts for entire critique sheet.

  4. Criteria • Mandala • Animal • 2 lines, 2 shapes, shading, design • Color Scheme in a section • Other Art Element lesson

  5. CRITIQUE • Get a CRITIQUE sheet from the corner of your table. • Answer the questions on the  front of sheet. • Fill in the Criteria below with the key words. • In 15 minutes, put your art on the board next to a number. (Tape it to white board.)

  6. Criteria • All art elements are on artwork. • 9 letters are drawn in a typographic font. • Techniques that were taught are used • Background is complete. • Map on back.

  7. Put art on boards: Clip or tape your artwork on the board. Front- tape, side- clip. Each should have a number taped to them.

  8. We will answer the questions on the back. • We will discuss your answers out loud. 1. We should hear positive, constructive criticism ONLY. BE respectful. Let’s try to talk about as many artworks as possible. • Only one person will share their answer at a time. Listen to others. • Think about using art vocabulary. • MUST BE SITTING AROUND TABLES 1 AND 3. MOVE UP FRONT! Respect during Critique
