United States-India Educational Foundation Operates out of its New Delhi headquarters and regional offices in Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai Aims to promote mutual understanding through educational exchanges Collaborates with individuals and institutions to develop academic partnerships across both nations

  3. USIEF: Primary Responsibilities Offers educational advising services for Indian students interested in pursuing higher education in the US, and for US students interested in studying abroad in India Administrates the Fulbright-Nehru and other Fulbright Fellowships for Indian and American students, faculty, administrators, and other professionals

  4. USIEF: Primary Responsibilities Serves as a clearinghouse for linkages between higher education institutions in the United States and India through its office of US-India Higher Education Cooperation (USIHEC)

  5. US-India Higher Education Cooperation Initiatives Obama-Singh 21st-Century Knowledge Initiative Fulbright-Nehru International Education Administrators Grants Transforming Boundaries: Community College Development in India Association of US Academic Programs in India (AUSAPI) Annual Conference

Obama-Singh 21st-century Knowledge Initiative Designed to facilitate and strengthen partnerships between American and Indian institutions of higher education Multi-year grant to support a variety of cross-institutional educational projects that focus on Energy Sustainable development Climate change/Environmental change Education/Educational reform Public health Community development and innovation

  7. Fulbright-Nehru International Education Administrators Grants This grant funds 2-week seminars for higher education administrators from the U.S. and India. These seminars aim to enable participants to make informed and ethical decisions about ways of enhancing ties between higher ed institutions in both nations.

  8. Transforming Boundaries: Community College Development in India Created to develop community college models that respond to the Indian context of learning and education Focuses on Faculty development Student affairs and support systems Alignment of curriculum with local industry needs

Association of US Academic Programs in India (AUSAPI) Annual Conference AUSAPI is a network of administrators, faculty, and resident directors of academic programs for U.S. undergraduates in India. It seeks to create spaces for ongoing dialogue and collaboration, cross-cultural exchanges of knowledge and experience, and professional development for study abroad programs in India
