  4. “Restore Gently” • “Mend or Refurbish” • A spirit of meekness vs. harshness • Restore” is the goal; • “Gently” is the tone

  5. Reacting or Restoring?

  6. Shame/Forgive Shame Forgive Listen then give them a hug. What will you do next time? Your hope lies in the assurance of forgiveness through Jesus. This is going to be difficult but I will walk through this with you. • How could you do this to me? • You never do anything right! • You know what the Bible calls girls/guys like you??? • You are such an embarrassment! • I will never forgive you!

Now!” • Abusive/harsh tones • Physical hurt

I believe in you. • I can’t hang around people like you. • When you start living right then we can talk. • Don’t you see how you are ruining your life?
