  5. Body Paragraphs Requirements: 1. Topic Sentence -introduces topic of paragraph -establishes link to THESIS

  6. 2. Argument Points / Evidence -presents detailed, specific points of topic + position -you need minimum 3 points 3. Analysis -analyse EACH point – explain why and/or how the evidence supports the THESIS and your position

  7. Conclusion Requirements: 1. starts with “In conclusion, …” 2. re-assert THESIS 3. review argument points (covered in body paragraphs) 4. comment on the significance of the paper

  8. Bibliography Requirements: 1. Separate page + last page of paper 2. Use APA style referencing (marks will be lost if not followed)

  9. Argumentative Thesis • makes a claim (taking a position) about a topic and justifies this claim with specific evidence. • Goal is to convince the reader that the claim is true based on the evidence provided.
