  • *Take part in the Y7 and 8 Reading Wall competition or our whole school short story competition.

  • *Visit the Library on Wednesday 1st February, where there will be a fantastic book sale, with many books on sale from just 10p! (12:55-1:35).

  • *Get reading and join the GCSE revision guide sale in the library at lunchtime Wednesday 21st February 2012.

  • Come and join Creative Writing Club on Monday lunch times (1pm-1:40) for some storytelling. Come along to hear fascinating and imaginative stories, written and told by the CWC Members. Why not take the challenge of telling a mystery story to others? Every student who attends will have their name entered into a prize draw!

  • *Put a suggestion in our library suggestion box for a new library book or way in which we can improve our library service.

*Human rights

*Global issues, including topics such as refugees

*Children affected by conflict and War

*Identity

*Diversity

*Community

*Migration

Could you use any of these as your topic for your story on one or more of the Olympic or Paralympic values?

What is storytelling

Remember you are only being asked to write a short story, so it doesn’t have to be long at all.

If you need some more support in writing your story speak to your English teacher, or visit the Creative Writing Club any Monday lunchtime.

Good luck and have a fantastic National Storytelling Week!
