  2. Original Game • ChuChu Rocket released for DreamCast as a free game to demonstrate online capabilities of the console. • Designed for four players. • Real-time. • Simple game play. • Complicated strategy.

Gameplay • Objective of game is to guide mice to rocket ships. • Mice move from space to space according to consistent mechanics. • Turn right when hitting wall. • Following corners. • Turn around in a dead end. • Mice need to avoid cats. • Players place arrow tiles to direct mice to avoid cats as well as to reach rockets. • Player with most mice at end of play wins.

Surface Portability • Top-Down Viewport • Game board is shown from top-down, ideal for “table” based surface interaction. • Real-Time • Non-turn based game play mechanics means all four players can touch surface simultaneously. • Interaction • Direction elements can be placed via surface gestures.

  6. Novelty/Strategy • Easy To Learn • Game play is not overly complicated, good for “walk up and play” scenario. • Lifetime to Master • Game play has sufficient strategy to keep players around.
